new Baylor RN position - Full-Time Weekends (Day Shift): ICU - ICU
St. Luke’s Hospital has a new opportunity for a day-shift Baylor RN position in our Intensive Care department! We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse committing to every weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) from 7am - 7pm. Compensation is base pay plus a Baylor differential for the every-weekend work commitment.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of excellent patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN is responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. The RN collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. The RN utilizes knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity into the provision of care. The registered nurse contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. A graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. ICU experience preferred.
2. Licensure appropriate to the state of North Carolina and the appropriate certification to the position and St. Luke’s Hospital.
3. Proficient oral and written communication skills.
4. Interpersonal skills necessary to exchange information and maintain courteous relationships with patients, families, visitors and St. Luke’s Hospital employees.
5. BLS, ACLS required within 30 days of employment.
6. PALS is preferred
7. Knowledge of standards, policies, procedures and organizational structure of the unit and St. Luke’s Hospital. To include strict adherence to Time and Attendance policy.
8. Participates in ongoing education relative to role as defined by unit requirements.
9. Basic computer knowledge
10. Physical ability to do the job.
11. Attention to detail.
