Laboratory
The St. Luke's Hospital Laboratory is a full-service facility that offers services for both inpatients and outpatients including:

Transfusion Services

Hematology-testing for anemia, low platelet counts, indication of infection and abnormal cell studies

Coagulation-testing for levels of coumadin and heparin

Serology testing-Mono, HIV, strep, pregnancy, drug screens and C. Difficle

Chemistry-testing for the kidney, liver and heart, as well as diabetic testing, glycohemoglobin and micro albumin

Therapeutic Drug Levels-including Digoxin, Dilantin and Phenobarbital

PSA-testing for prostate cancer

Blood gases-for amounts of oxygen in the blood, PH levels and carbon dioxide

Microbiology-identification of bacteria and sensitivities

Quantitative HCG testing

Thyroid Testing

Urinalysis
Our lab is open to outpatients Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 5 pm. Testing for glucose tolerance and drug testing may be done by appointment only. Physician orders are required for all lab tests.
