**Registered Nurse Floater - Day Shift - $10K Sign-On Bonus**
*$10K Sign-On Bonus**

The Registered Nurse--Floater will provide nursing care to a wide variety of patients within St. Luke's Hospital. The RN Floater may spend extended periods of time in one nursing unit but may also move into other units to meet operational requirements including Medical/Surgical, Emergency, and/or Operating/Surgical.

The RN Floater acts as a patient advocate and facilitates communication between the patient, family and other health care professionals to plan, organize and teach to best meet the needs of the patient.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (include but not limited to):

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure in the state of North Carolina. License must be in good standing.

• 2-year minimum RN staff experience

• Experience in three or more different nursing units preferred.

• Credentials BLS, ACLS, and PALS

• TNCC or related Emergency certification recommended

• NIH Stroke Scale certification, recommended.

• Provides direct patient care, evaluated outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.

• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients and the general patient population.

• Maintains accurate and continued nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses and assessment of changes.

• Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and family. Functions as liaison between administration, patients, physicians and other healthcare providers.

• Demonstrates an aptitude and willingness to learn new responsibilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent organization, interpersonal, and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently, make decisions, meet deadlines, multi-task and solve problems

• Proficiency in PC software, especially word processing and spreadsheet programs

• Experience with EPIC preferred
